Stem cells are being used in the field of drug discovery and pharmacology as a tool for studying the mechanisms of diseases and for developing new therapies and treatments. In particular, stem cells are being used to model diseases in the laboratory and to test the effectiveness and safety of new drugs. Stem cells are also being used to study the mechanisms of drug action and to identify new drug targets.
